The negotiations were also attended by Péter Siklósi, the MoD Deputy State Secretary for Defence Policy and Planning.

At the meeting with H.E. Karin Olofsdotter, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Budapest, the parties talked over the topics of the Pooling & Sharing Seminar held in Budapest between December 5 and 6, 2011. They also dealt with the professional co-operation established in connection with the Swedish Gripen fighters, which was highly appreciated by both parties.

Dr. Csaba Hende and Madam Karin Olofsdotter expressed their pleasure over the possibility that in the framework of the Pooling & Sharing Seminar the Hungarian and the Swedish Defence Ministers can meet personally, and that the exchange of ideas about the experiences of the Nordic Co-operation can be included among the topics of the Seminar.

The discussion with H.E. Mira Hoxha, the Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Albania to Budapest took place upon the request of Her Excellency. The introductory, courtesy call gave a good opportunity for covering the current issues of the Hungarian–Albanian military-to-military relations.

H.E. Mira Hoxha spoke highly of the assistance provided by Hungary during the NATO-accession of Albania; at the same time she expressed thanks to Dr. Csaba Hende for his supporting the further development of the Hungarian–Albanian relations. The Minister of Defence stressed that Albania is regarded in Hungary as the stabilizing factor on the Balkan Peninsula.

Dr. Csaba Hende congratulated Albania on its NATO membership, and at the same time assured Her Excellency of our support to the EU accession of Albania. The Head of the Defence Portfolio indicated that Hungary would gladly share its experiences learned during the integration process.
