KTRBN – Change of Command Ceremony

On the 23rd of March, in Camp Novo Selo the Hungarian KFOR Contingent completed its Change of Command ceremony between the 19th and 20th Rotation.

Major General Lorenzo D’addario, COM KFOR attended the ceremony, and delivered his speech to the soldiers of the Kosovo Tactical Reserve Battalion (KTRBN). Firstly, he thanked the KTRBN soldiers for their excellent cooperation during their mission. "KFOR is a very important operation for NATO. The alliance have been here for 20 years and created the condition for people not to be afraid anymore" – he pointed out in his speech.

He also took the opportunity to welcome the new commander, Lieutenant Colonel Szabolcs Rácz and members of the incoming contingent in the presence of the Commanders of other KFOR Units. As is tradition, with the handover of the unit flag, the Contingent of the 20th Rotation has started his service. Additionally, both contingents commanders addressed the assembled guests and KFOR soldiers during this event. The incoming commander assured all that KTRBN would keep training throughout its six months here.

"Don’t forget we can never be ready, but we can be better and better week by week through the planned exercises and training events" – stated LTC Rácz.
