The ceremony was honoured by the presence of Maj.-Gen. Lorenzo D’addario, the Commander of KFOR, who praised the importance of KFOR in his speech to the servicemen of the KFOR Tactical Reserve Battalion (KTRBN) before the awarding of the medals. He stressed that the mission has continuously guaranteed the security of the region in the past two decades, and the Hungarian soldiers have a vital role in the operation.

In his speech, he highlighted the service of the Tactical Reserve Battalion performed in the past few months, which fully contributed to the successful execution of the operational tasks of NATO’s largest mission in the region. KFOR Commander particularly underlined those assigned standby-by duties, where the Hungarian soldiers showed exemplary effectiveness.
