Brig.-Gen. Walter T. Lord, the commander of the NATO HQ Sarajevo presented three Hungarian soldiers with the NATO Non-Article 5 (Balkan Operations) medals and certificates of merit for their work.

Commemorating the Revolution in Sarajevo

Ambassadorial invitation, ceremonial staff meeting, Hungarian-style dinner. The 56th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution and War of Independence was commemorated in Camp Butmir, Sarajevo as well.

Hungarian Peacekeepers on the Start Line

A half marathon running race was organized in Sarajevo on September 16. The athletes entered the race on half marathon and four kilometer distances. There were several Hungarian peacekeepers among the competitors standing at the start line.

Leaders of the Next Rotation on a Pre-deployment Site Survey

Some members of the next 12th rotation of the HDF EUFOR Contingent visited Camp Butmir, Sarajevo between 10–14 September. Led by the incoming commander, Lt.-Col. Péter Somogyi, the team surveyed the Hungarian peacekeepers’ accommodation areas and working conditions. Most of the personnel of the next rotation serve with the HDF 12th Arrabona Surface-to-Air Missile Regiment of Győr.
