Leaders of the Next Rotation on a Pre-deployment Site Survey
Szöveg: Maj. Péter Fazekas | 2012. szeptember 21. 11:00Some members of the next 12th rotation of the HDF EUFOR Contingent visited Camp Butmir, Sarajevo between 10–14 September. Led by the incoming commander, Lt.-Col. Péter Somogyi, the team surveyed the Hungarian peacekeepers’ accommodation areas and working conditions. Most of the personnel of the next rotation serve with the HDF 12th Arrabona Surface-to-Air Missile Regiment of Győr.
During the site survey, the leaders of the 12th rotation of the HDF EUFOR Contingent attended information briefings, met EUFOR Chief of Staff Brig.-Gen. Péter Ernő Siposs, the Senior National Representative, and held consultations with the staff of the present rotation.
The discussions focused on the current tasks and workings of EUFOR and the Multinational Battalion (MNBN), the state of the peace support operation and the everyday life of the mission.
The members of the survey team had opportunity to get to know the environments of the camp and the city itself.
