Fifty-eight T–72 Tanks Are Transported to the Czech Republic

On Monday, August 25 in the morning hours, Excalibur Defense Ltd commenced transporting 58 T–72 tanks into the area of the Czech Republic. The tanks are withdrawn from service and have been purchased from the Hungarian Defence Forces. The customer is managing the transportation and has all the required licenses for the shipment of military equipment.

Augmented Hungarian KFOR Contingent Can Start Peacekeeping Mission in Kosovo

The 11th rotation of the augmented Hungarian KFOR (Kosovo Force) Contingent has reached full operational capability (FOC). On August 23, the Hungarian peacekeepers demonstrated, on a validation exercise, their readiness for executing peacekeeping tasks to an international committee.

Hungarian Soldiers Provide Support Again

In the early afternoon of Wednesday, May 28 ten food-carrying trucks driven by Hungarian peacekeepers of the EUFOR Multinational Battalion left Sarajevo for the flood-stricken areas of Bosnia-Herzegovina. One of the trucks headed for the town of Kakanj, while the other nine for warehouses of other aid centers.

Hungary’s Defence Sector Has Received a Favorable International Placing

Corruption risks are moderate in Hungary’s defence sector – this is the result of a survey conducted by the London office of Transparency International, which was published after the analysis of the armed forces in 82 countries. Only nine countries are placed higher than Hungary in the Government Defence Anti-Corruption Index, and our country is in the moderate band together with other 16 nations.
