Military Attachés in the HDF Logistic Centre
Szöveg: Fanny Faragó | 2019. január 25. 8:39During this year’s first program of the defence, military and air attachés accredited to Hungary, they visited the Gen. Baron Hazai Samu Barracks in Budapest, where they learned about the task-system of the HDF Logistic Centre and that of its subordinated entities.

The delegation was received by Brigadier General István Baráth, the Commander of the HDF Logistic Centre (MH LK) in the building on Soroksári Road. In his welcome address the General highlighted that in addition to the HDF Material Supply Store Base (MH ARB), the HDF Military Transportation Centre (MH KKK) and the HDF Aircraft Repair Plant also belong to the service subordination of the MH LK.
Following the Commander’s welcome address, Lieutenant Colonel Viktor Vauver gave a presentation about the organisational structure and task-system of the Centre and about their future development plans. The military attachés learned from the lecture that the main function of the unit is to provide supply of military equipment to the Hungarian Defence Forces, and also to organise and supervise the tasks related to the central logistics management and supply provision responsibility.
The Commander of the Base Colonel Attila Kolonics briefed the military diplomats on the history and function of the MH ARB. After his presentation the military attachés representing several nations were introduced to the organisation’s scope of activities by Colonel Antal Bárdos, the Commander of the MH KKK, and finally Lieutenant Colonel Uwe Patz, the exchange and liaison officer of the HDF Command delegated from the Bundeswehr, gave a briefing about the German-Hungarian Joint Logistics Multinational Co-operation program operating since 2012.
Following the professional programs, the military diplomats participated in a military dress show and armaments demonstration, then viewed the technical equipment and vehicles in service with the units.
At the end of the program Colonel Toma-Stefan Savu, the doyen of the Budapest Military Attaché Corps (BMAC) thanked Brigadier General István Baráth for the rich and meaningful program.
