Az amerikai légierő tervei 2020-ig

Az amerikai légierő elkészítette azt a listát, mely részletesen felsorolja azokat a repülőgép típusokat a tervezett darabszámmal, melyből az USAF vásárolni szeretne az elkövetkező évtizedekben. Az „Aircraft Investment Plan” átfogó képet nyújt a légierő, a tengerészgyalogság és a haditengerészet által vásárolni kívánt repülőgépekről.

Uruguay partjainál gyakorlatozik a USS Carl Vinson

Az amerikai haditengerészet Nimitz-osztályú repülőgép-hordozója, a nukleáris meghajtású USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), a napokban Uruguay partjainál mutatja be képességeit a Southern Seas 2010 névre keresztelt hadgyakorlat keretein belül. Az „úszó sziget” ezt megelőzően Rio de Janeiroba látogatott, ahol a fedélzetről magasba emelkedő F/A-18 Super Hornetek légi bemutatóját is megtekinthették a brazilok.

Nem titkos a román forradalom peranyaga

Emil Boc miniszterelnök a keddi kormányülést követően bejelentette, hogy feloldották a tilalom alól azokat az utolsó dokumentumokat is az 1989-es forradalom peranyagából, amelyekhez nem férhetett hozzá a közvélemény. A döntést azzal indokolta, hogy ezek nem sértik Románia nemzetbiztonságát, nem jelentenek veszélyt a közrendre, nem sértik sem közjogi, sem magánszemélyek érdekeit.

The Honvéd Dream Team came in fifth on the 2010 Budapest-Bamako off-road rally. Zoltán Bálint, the pilot and his two navigators, Ákos Gazdag and István Barkó, the financial specialist of the MoD have conquered the coast, the rocks and sand dunes, often driving hundreds of kilometres a day. They gave us an account of their experiences.

“Gentlemen, It Is Good To See You Home!’

The national anthems of Hungary and the USA were also played on Wednesday in Tata, where the troops of the second rotation of the Hungarian–US Operational Mentor and Liaison Team (OMLT) to Afghanistan were saluted on their return from the operational area. Those who have just returned home have proven excellently – said the MoD Chief of Defence Staff at the event.

“We Are The NATO”

Ágnes Vadai, State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence gave a lecture at Zrínyi Miklós University of National Defence, entitled Some questions in connection with the development of the Hungarian Defence Forces following the NATO accession. The lecture focused on the most important issues concerning the defence forces, and the state secretary also answered the questions of the attendees.

There was a special event in the Balaton Street building of the Ministry of Defence to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the establishment of the National Alliance of Comrades Associations (BEOSZ). In addition to the representatives of foreign partner organizations, several former defence ministers and chiefs of defence staff were also present on the special occasion.

Meg akarták ölni a karikaturistát

Írországban letartóztattak hét személyt, aki azt tervezte, hogy meggyilkol egy svéd karikaturistát, mert az megsértette Mohamed prófétát. A rendőrség szerint négy férfit és három nőt tartóztattak le. Az RTE ír rádió szerint marokkói és jemeni származású személyekről van szó. A gyanúsítottak külföldön akarták végrehajtani tettüket.

Valóban Dulmatinnal végeztek

Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono indonéz elnök szerdán megerősítette, hogy a délkelet-ázsiai ország rendőrei előző nap valóban a bali robbantások értelmi szerzőjével, a Jemaah Islamiyah szélsőséges iszlamista csoport Dulmatin néven ismert vezetőjével végeztek. Kedden még csak valószínűsítették, hogy egy aznapi jakartai rajtaütés során lelőtték Dulmatint.
