CIOMR President Visits HDF Medical Centre

The President of CIOMR met with Brig.-Gen. Dr. István Kopcsó, Chief of the Hungarian Defence Forces Medical Service and Brig.-Gen. (Ret.) Ernő Széles, President, Association of Hungarian Reservists (MATASZ) to discuss with them his experience and views concerning the field.

After the discussions, Col. Davies paid a courtesy call to Maj.-Gen. István Kun Szabó, Commander, HDF Medical Centre. In what followed, the expert staff of the HDF Medical Centre gave presentations on the reservist system of the Hungarian Defence Forces, the structure and characteristics of the Medical Service and the organization as well as the earlier and current main tasks of the Hungarian military medicine and its role in foreign missions.

The program in the HDF Medical Centre closed with an introduction to the institution.

In what followed, at the invitation of Prof. Dr. János Gál, the guest visited the Clinical Centre of Semmelweis University, where he held a discussion on the fields of possible cooperation.

Col. Kevin Davies was also received by Maj.-Gen. István Szabó, Deputy Chief of Defence for Coordination.
