Minister of Defence met the South Korean Ambassador
Szöveg: Ministry of Defence | 2018. július 10. 14:36Minister of Defence Dr. Tibor Benkő received in his office H.E. Mr. Choe Kyoo Sik, the Ambassador of the Korean Republic to Budapest, coming for an introductory call on Tuesday, July 10.
In the meeting the Minister of Defence pointed out that the Ministry appreciates that Korea re-opened its Defence Attaché Office (DAO), which significantly contributes to the enhancement of bilateral military relations.
Dr. Tibor Benkő stressed that South Korea is a key strategic partner for Hungary, and the currently existing close and effective co-operation between the two countries is proved also by the top-level meetings becoming regular and the documents signed.
At the end of the meeting the Minister said that Hungary counts on the long-term co-operation with Korea in the future, too; then highlighted that the year 2019 will be an important memorial year for both countries, as next year we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Hungary and the Republic of Korea.
