During the English language training the students could acquire basic knowledge about the procedures of the UN, NATO, the European Union and the African Union peace support operations. They learned the different negotiation and co-operation techniques, the rules on humanitarian aid, and the basics of the co-operation with the different governmental and non-governmental organs, organisations. In the situational exercises, the students could apply their theoretical knowledge in practice, and then on the last two days of the course they could demonstrate their preparedness at the final exercise. The goal of the training is to prepare the participants to be able – among others – to establish and maintain relationships, to collect information, and to send this information in the form of a report, to the superior, and to those analysing the information, to execute the traditional communication officer’s tasks.

At the application Sergeant Major Ferenc Martonosi’s main motivation was to experience this form of international co-operation. "Also my goal was to see the peace support operations and their different aspects in a broader spectrum" – Sergeant Major added. Lieutenant Stela Brahaj came from Albania to the course in order to increase her knowledge. "Earlier I had no similar experience in such co-operation, just minimal. I learned how to co-operate with the different UN organisations, I gained an insight into their working methods" – the Lieutenant said.
