Minister of Defence Receives Ambassador of France
Szöveg: Ministry of Defence | 2018. január 23. 9:43On 22 January Minister of Defence Dr. István Simicskó received, on an office call, French ambassador Éric Fournier in Budapest.
At the bilateral talks with the French ambassador, the two sides discussed the development of the Hungarian armed forces, including the Zrínyi 2026 National Defence and Armed Forces Development Program, the priorities of the presidency of the V4 countries and that of the Central European Defence Cooperation (CECD), the further expansion of the scope of Hungarian–French defence cooperation, as well as the establishment of the planned G5 Sahel military force and the importance of the fight against terrorism.
At the meeting, in connection with defence cooperation, Minister of Defence Dr. István Simicskó also pointed out the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) of the European Union and the importance of the sources of the European Defence Fund (EDF) in the field of defence industry development.
