Running Race in Bosnia-Herzegovina
Szöveg: Capt. Imre Farkas | 2013. június 7. 11:00Several members of the Sarajevo-based HDF EUFOR Contingent recently participated in the locally organized running race.
Besides the representatives of many other nations, Hungarian soldiers also entered the competition. With a view to promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle, the event was organized on Sunday, June 2 in a scenic environment in the town of Kresevo, 35 kilometers from the camp. The task of covering the six-kilometer distance provided the soldiers – who are nearing the end of their six-month tour of duty abroad – with a great opportunity to break the monotony of the everyday life in the mission.
1st Lt. Adrienn Török was placed second in the women’s category, Sgt. Katalin Meretei came in third, while 1st Lt. Gergő Bognár was placed 10th in the overall rankings and Capt. Imre Farkas 14th.
