Three Hungarian Soldiers Receive EUFOR Medals
Szöveg: honvedelem.hu | 2017. március 30. 9:00The traditional EUFOR medal parade was recently held in Camp Butmir, Sarajevo, where several peacekeepers were presented with ALTHEA medals for the successful completion of their tour of duty.
At the ceremony, in recognition of their service, troops from six nations received medals from EUFOR Commander Maj.-Gen. Friedrich Schrötter, among them three Hungarian soldiers – EUFOR Chief of Staff Brig.-Gen. Albert Sáfár, Lt.-Col. Zoltán Vicai and SWO Tibor Bojtos – who have earned the decoration with their service on the staff of the EUFOR HQ in the past months.
Maj.-Gen. Schrötter thanked the decorated soldiers for the work they have done for EUFOR’s success and the maintenance of a safe and secure environment, as well as the training and capacity building of the armed forces of Bosnia-Herzegovina. In his speech, the COMEUFOR emphasized Brig.-Gen. Albert Sáfár’s activity as chief of staff of the mission.
