Weapons Proficiency Badge Qualification

A total of 40 soldiers were present in the range day. Apart from the Hungarian and German soldiers, the participants included US military personnel as well. To qualify for the bronze grade, they had to fire the MP7 and HK–P8 pistols in three different postures at targets placed in three different distances.

The soldiers of the Hungarian contingent successfully completed the task. They were awarded certificates and a ceremonial lanyard that they may wear on their dress uniform.

Those who did not grow weary of the powder smoke after all these events had a chance to qualify for the M4 assault rifle and the Beretta M9 pistol. In the case of these weapons, the requirements were more stringent.

The soldiers had to fire 40 rounds in a specified position within a specified time limit.

The Hungarian soldiers deservedly represented the infantry branch. 2nd Lt. Gábor Simor scored the maximum 40 points with the Beretta pistol, while Cpl. László Enyedi scored 36 points with the M4 assault rifle. Their results earned them the highest level marksmanship qualification.
