The members of the Hungarian contingent participating in the Military Skills Competition were 1st Lt. István Boros, WO Erzsébet Oláh, SFC Tamás Janecz, SFC Sándor Nagy, Cpl. Zoltán Virágh, Cpl. Szabolcs Meleg and PV2 Balázs Pánczél.
The daylong contest started with the “Endurance march" in the early morning hours. The competitors had to run a distance of 6.5 kilometers in full marching order. The only difference to the previous tasks of the Endurance March was that they had to do a “stretcher run", carrying the seventh “injured" team member to the finish.
The variety of events on the Military Skills Competition included an Ops Info station (situational exercise), a pistol shooting, an obstacle course, map reading, Patrol and observation (a task focusing on recognition of combat vehicles used by the opposing forces in Cyprus), a special driving skills event, an IQ test and Incident Reaction (leading the team members safely across a minefield).
