Two-Year Scientific Project Launched By Zrínyi University

Zrínyi Miklós University of National Defence has launched a program titled ‘Science and Security’, the aim of which is to inform society about the achievements of military sciences, and develop the researches carried out at the university – announced the university at a press conference held in the institution on Thursday.

“While Children Are Taken To The Amusement Park, We Are Taken Here”

On the fifth anniversary of the Day of Voluntary Military Force, the Ministry of Defence organized a museum visit for 120 contracted troops of the Hungarian Defence Forces. After the program the soldiers were greeted in Stefánia Palace by General (eng.) László Tömböl, Chief of the MoD Defence Staff. We were also there with them.

Photo Exhibition About The Role Of The Dutch And The Hungarian PRTs

Jack de Vries, the State Secretary of the Dutch Ministry of Defence and József Bali, State Secretary for Defence Policy, Hungarian Ministry of Defence opened the photo exhibition titled ‘Together for security and stability in Afghanistan’, which gives an oveview of the role of the Dutch and Hungarian PRTs in Afghanistan in the Institute and Museum of Military History.

“No Matter What Happens, Soldiers Will Get Proper Care”

Every year since 1992, there has been a conference on military health and medical care where beyond health care provision in theatres of operation, the changes in the areas of military health care in the back countries are also discussed. We were also there on the first day of this year’s American-Hungarian Medical Officers’ Conference, which is the seventeenth event in a row.

Who Had Been Deprived Of An Honourable Death

On 19 August, the Ministry of Defence, the Hungarian Defence Forces, the MoD Institute of Military History, and the Budapest Organization of the Imre Nagy Society commemorated those who had been executed in the “generals’ case”: László Sólyom and the other martyrs. The president of the Republic of Hungary promoted László Sólyom to general posthumously, effective as from 13 October 2007.

Dream Team Came Up In A Long And Tough Fight

On 10-12 July, the PROHUN 500 off-road rally was held in Hungary for the third time in Gyula and seven nearby locations. The Honvéd Dream Team Gepárd (Cheetah) team was among the competitors. Annoyance, a lot of dust, and many fans – the Saturday overview of the event.

Desdemona And Othello In The Training Ground

The cast of ‘Othello’, soon to be premiered in Vígszínház (Comedy Theatre), has taken part in a very special adventure. Ms Enikõ Eszenyi, the directress of the theater and nine actors who will appear in the play participated in a three-day military training between 17 and 19 June 2009 in Szentendre, at the Central Training Base of the Hungarian Defence Forces.

Ceremonial Swords Handed Over In Orczy-kert

Zrínyi Miklós University of National Defence held its Hundred Day celebration in Orczy-kert where the most excellent students received ceremonial swords and daggers. In the previous years the celebration of military graduates was held in the university but as of this year, the event is held at the Mária Ludovika memorial in Orczy-kert.

‘The Measure Will Be Who Does The Most For Joint Defence’

‘Foreign and security policy challenges in Europe in the beginning of the 21st century’ was the title of the conference organized by the Political Sciences Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, where Minister of Defence Dr. Imre Szekeres also delivered a speech. As of 2011, Hungarian troops may even be deployed in African operations and the defence forces have already started the preparations.
