The Third Victorious Battle Of Pákozd

On Friday the newest building of the Pákozd Military Memorial Park, the museum on Mészeg Hill, built in recent months with the support of the European Union, was inaugurated with due ceremony. The event was also the official dedication of the memorial park. The leaders of the Ministry of Defence and the Hungarian Defence Forces were also present at the ceremony.

Sweat, Exhaustion, Pain

Hand-to-hand combat camp ‘Pegasus’ at the HDF 25/88 Light Mixed Battalion in Szolnok has just finished. The troops of the battalion had two very intensive trainings a day for two weeks, where they were practicing the techniques of ground fighting and standing combat. Sweat, exhaustion and pain were constant companions of the fighters during these two weeks.

The national anthems of Hungary and the USA were also played on Wednesday in Tata, where the troops of the second rotation of the Hungarian–US Operational Mentor and Liaison Team (OMLT) to Afghanistan were saluted on their return from the operational area. Those who have just returned home have proven excellently – said the MoD Chief of Defence Staff at the event.

‘Spacemen’ Under The Ice

NATO Special Operations Basic Course For The First Time In Hungary

The first NATO special operations basic course has started in Hungary. The formal opening of the international course that started on February 2 and ends in October was held Tuesday afternoon in Szolnok, in the HDF Peace Support Training Centre.
