A Turbulent Country

Az izmosodó szövetség

Az idén születésének 10. évfordulójára készülő Magyar Tartalékosok Szövetsége (Matasz) 2001. július 14-én alakult meg. Úgy tűnik, a tartalékosok legnagyobb szövetsége hamarosan elfoglalja méltó helyét a honvédséghez szorosan kapcsolódó szakmai szerveztek sorában. Elnökével, Czuprák Ottóval beszélgettünk a mögöttük álló évről, idei feladataikról, terveikről.

HDF OMLT has proved itself through committed service

On January 7, the Hungarian unit of the Hungarian Defence Forces Operational Mentoring and Liaison Team (HDF OMLT) that returned from Afghanistan was greeted by Maj-Gen. Zoltán Orosz, Deputy Chief of the HDF Defence Staff and US Defence Attaché Col. Robert W. Duggleby at a Welcome Home ceremony held with military honors in the presence of the troops’ families and commanders inside the Kossuth Barracks in Debrecen.

Parancsnokváltás a NATO iraki kiképzőközpontja élén

Az amerikai haderő altábornagya Michael Ferriter vette át a parancsnokságot a NATO iraki kiképzési missziója (NTM-I) élén a távozó Michael Barbero altábornagytól – adta tudtul a szövetség honlapja. A NATO zászlaját Lloyd Austin négycsillagos tábornok, az amerikai erők iraki főparancsnoka adta át Ferriternek azon az ünnepségen, amelyet január 5-én tartottak Bagdadban a Babylon Konferencia Központban. Az eseményen jelen volt számos magas rangú iraki katonai, polgári és politikai vezető, köztük az iraki védelmi miniszter, Abdul Qadir Mohammed Jassim Obeidi.

On mission

Afghanistan is a landlocked and mountainous country in Central Asia stricken with poverty and chronic instability. The newly released film of the Zrínyi Média Military Film Studio introduces the activities of the Hungarian Defence Forces’ ISAF contingent that is deployed at several bases in the northern region of the country, among others being tasked with contributing to development projects and mentoring the Afghan National Army.

Áldozatos munkával bizonyított az MH OMLT

Ünnepélyes keretek között, katonai tiszteletadással, hozzátartozóik és parancsnokaik előtt fogadta Orosz Zoltán vezérőrnagy, a Honvéd Vezérkar főnök-helyettese, valamint Robert W. Duggleby ezredes, az Egyesült Államok véderő attaséja az Afganisztánból hazatért MH OMLT (Műveleti Tanácsadó és Összekötő Csoport) magyar alegységét január 7-én, a debreceni Kossuth Laktanyában.

Magabiztosság, szakmai hozzáértés

Gondos, precíz, felelősségteljes munkavégzést tapasztalt az ISAF Egyesített Műveleti Parancsnokágán dr. Hende Csaba honvédelmi miniszter és az általa  vezette delegáció Afganisztánban. Ahogy arról már korábban beszámoltunk, a miniszter és dr. Benkő Tibor vezérezredes, a HM Honvéd Vezérkar főnöke afganisztáni látogatásának első állomása a Kabuli Nemzetközi Repülőtér volt.
