The dayslong live fire exercise included combat vehicle live fire as well as basic MOS, combined and special infantry marksmanship training. The aim of the firing practice was to create realistic conditions for soldiers carrying out fire missions to develop their skills. Due to its core function, the OPFOR Company as an infantry company operates as a “role-player" imitating opposing forces during training events of other units. Of course, like other infantry companies, the OPFOR Company itself has to complete all the training tasks as well.

As part of the ERASMUS+ program, seven Bulgarian exchange students staying in Hungary visited the live fire exercise., After the arrival of the four land force and three air force cadets led by Lt.-Col. Lajos Komjáthy, Company Deputy Commander 1st Lt. Csaba Kopasz introduced them to the firing range, and then the students saw the preparations for the live fire exercise, the packing of ammunition and the military equipment of the company.

The ERASMUS+ is the mobility programme of the European Union which supports the students and staff of higher educational institutions in gaining experience abroad around Europe. Three years ago the National University of Public Service joined the programme, to provide its students with opportunities for gaining cultural, language and vocational experience, which has now been provided by the Bakony unit.
