The medal parade for the personnel serving with the 13th rotation of the HDF KFOR Contingent (KFOR-13 HUNCON) stationed in Camp Slim Lines, Pristina, Kosovo was held in cold winter weather. By tradition, the medal parade is a milestone for every soldier deployed with a mission, because it signals that they can soon return home to their loved ones, after long months spent with work and duties.

More than 100 troops of the HDF 5th “Bocskai István" Infantry Brigade are currently serving in the joint Hungarian–Portuguese KFOR Tactical Reserve Maneuver Battalion (KTM). In accordance with the motto of the unit – “Two nations, one force" – in recognition of their tour of duty abroad, the peacekeepers were presented with the NATO Balkan medals during a joint ceremony.
