Attachés’ Visit to Logistic Regiment

On Tuesday, October 11 the (deputy) military attachés of eleven nations paid a visit to the HDF 64th Boconádi Szabó József Logistic Regiment in Kaposvár. During their stay at the unit the attachés were introduced to the regiment and the town with a historic past.

The (deputy) military and air attachés accredited in Budapest of France, Spain, Austria, the Ukraine, the USA, Germany, Serbia, Croatia, Slovakia, Romania and the People’s Republic of China paid a visit to the logistic regiment of Kaposvár on October 11. During the daylong program the guests were introduced to the structure and task scheme of the unit. They were informed about the lessons learned on missions abroad, the operation of the system of replenishment for the HDF contingents serving abroad, and the main areas of logistic support, including material management, the computerized system of material inventory and the inspection procedures. Afterwards the guests were shown the regimental motor transport (MT).

The program concluded with a storming performance of the Kaposvár garrison band at the base. The next and at once last item in the 2011 program schedule for attachés will be a visit to the HDF Geoinformation Service in Budapest.
