Dr. István Simicskó: Creating Security Is In Our Common Interest
Szöveg: Ministry of Defence | 2017. március 24. 9:00In Budapest, on Thursday, 23 March – the closing day of the NATO Transformation Seminar – Minister of Defence Dr. István Simicskó met with General Denis Mercier, Supreme Allied Commander Transformation.
The minister of defence and the general agreed that more attention must be paid to the new types of challenges and threats posed to our modern world and Europe. The terrorist attack in London on the previous day also shows that creating security is in our common interest.
More practical meaning must be given to the concept of projecting stability, which is in our common interest because we need to be able to give novel and immediate responses to the new types of challenges in today’s complex security environment.
In connection with the upcoming establishment of a center for defence studies, the two sides assured each other of their mutual support.
