Generals Appointed and Promoted

Based on the Minister of Defence’s recommendation, on the occasion of the Day of the
Hungarian Defence Forces, Dr. János Áder, the President of Hungary promoted to retired
major-general Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Ferenc Kalmár, the Head of the MoD Deputy State Secretariat
For Defence Policy and Defence Planning.

The President appointed to brigadier-general Col. Sándor Vass, the Chief of the MoD Defence
Staff Communication and Information Systems (CIS) and Information Security (INFOSEC)
Directorate.
