The Minister of Defence Received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Tibor Benkő received H.E. Mohammed Abdulhadi Almatrafi, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in his office at an introductory visit on Monday, 21st January.

In the meeting the Minister emphasized that the political relations of Hungary and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are at a high level. A clear sign of our commitment to this direction is our Prime Minister Orbán Viktor’s visits to Riyadh.

During the talks both parties agreed that counter-terrorism is a global issue affecting all of us.

Tibor Benkő highlighted that the education and training are potential areas for enhancing our military-to-military relations, and in order to identify further possible areas of co-operation we are ready to receive a delegation of Saudi experts.

The Minister also drew the attention to the Hungarian Defence Forces’ substantial and continuous engagement in the fight against illegal migration.
