In accordance with Chapter X of the 2011 Vienna Document of the Confidence- and Security Building Measures (CSBMs) a Hungarian-led, multinational inspection team will carry out an inspection in the Eastern part of Ukraine from 16 November 2016.

The inspection team of the “Visegrad Four" (V4) countries is composed mainly of the specialists of the Hungarian MOD Defence Policy Department, reinforced by Czech, Polish and Slovak guest inspectors. Following the programme finalisation in Kyiv they will request and receive briefings from the representatives of the Ukrainian military, internal security, National Guard units deployed along the cease-fire line, and from the OSCE’s Special Monitoring Mission. They will visit the headquarters, the training- and firing ranges of the units.
One of the aims of the inspection team is to verify on the spot how the Parties respect the Minsk Agreements’ content.
