Joint Training in Pristina

Szöveg: Lt.-Col. Gábor Szentes |  2012. február 15. 9:36

Due to the situation that has arisen in the northern part of Kosovo over the last few months, the Portuguese–Hungarian KFOR Tactical Reserve (TACRES) Battalion carried out most of its training programs and operations in cooperation with a Freedom of Movement Detachment (FMD). At the end of January the two subunits had a joint crowd and riot control (CRC) exercise in their training scheme.

During the thoroughly planned training program, the two subunits brushed up and went over those procedures they had already used in live operations successfully.

In the morning hours of the training day, reinforced with the FMD engineer subunits, the Hungarian infantry company of the battalion went on a CRC exercise. In the afternoon, the Portuguese peacekeepers took their turn.

By the end of the day it became clear again that the troops of the fifth rotation of the HDF KFOR contingent are fully ready to carry out live operations.

The Deputy Commander of KFOR was also present to inspect the exercise.
