New Hungarian Senior National Representative in Afghanistan
Szöveg: honvedelem.hu | 2015. március 17. 9:00The handover-takeover of the Hungarian Senior National Representative’s (SNR) responsibilities took place in the first days of March in Afghanistan. Since February 14, Col. Gábor Lőrincz, Head of Operations Department, Defence Staff Operations Directorate has been posted to the Train, Advise and Assist Command North (TAAC-N) of the Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan.
Speaking at a staff meeting held for Hungarian soldiers serving in Afghanistan, the new Senior National Representative said that he is directly subordinated to the Chief of Staff of TAAC-N, so he can effectively represent the interest of Hungarian troops deployed in the theatre of war. He said he expected them to conduct themselves worthy of the soldiers of the Hungarian Defence Forces, maintain strict military discipline and perform to the highest professional standards.
Col. Lőrincz expressed his appreciation to Col. Péter Balogh, who had been carrying out the Senior National Representative’s responsibilities since last December, and thanked the Hungarian troops participating in the Resolute Support Mission for their work done by high professional standards.
At the end of the staff meeting, the two colonels signed the record of transfer on the handover-takeover of the duties.
