The Hungarian and the German Air Forces Concluded a Co-operation Agreement
Szöveg: Szabolcs Nyulas | 2019. február 6. 10:24The Hungarian and the German air forces are deepening their relationship in the area of defence; the agreement on this was signed by Brigadier General Nándor Kilián, the Inspector of the Air Force of the Command of the Hungarian Defence Forces and Lieutenant General Ingo Gerhartz, the Commander of the German Air Force on Tuesday, 5th February in the capital.

When signing the Co-operation Agreement, Brigadier General Nándor Kilián said that the relationship with the German Air Force has not just now begun, but we would like to strengthen and bring this up on a new level. He recalled that Germany was a big helper to Hungary at the time of the NATO-accession, so the partnership to neither of the parties is new. At the same time the current security situation and the Alliance’s interests call for a closer co-operation.
“Co-operation has several areas; the current security situation dictates that this co-operation be based on a much deeper level of relationship. These areas include the air defence, the air transport and the communication of the commanders" – Brigadier General pointed out.
Lieutenant General Ferenc Korom, the Commander of the Hungarian Defence Forces, H.E. Mr. Volkmar Wenzel, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Budapest, and Government Commissioner Gáspár Maróth attended the signing of the Agreement.
