Captain Mór Milán Markovics, the military chaplain of the 18th rotation of the HDF KFOR Contingent (KFOR-18 HUNCON) recently celebrated a special Easter Mass in Camp Novo Selo, Kosovo.

At the evening “vigil" mass, the Hungarian soldiers – from enlisted men to generals, regardless of personnel category – lit candles from the Easter candle. “Physical training is not enough for a balanced life; we need strength of mind for it too" -said Captain Markovics at the Easter celebration ritual. The participants of the liturgy, thanks to the preaching and the readings from the Holy Scripture, have received a kind of food for the soul that can help them during their tour of duty abroad.

The next morning the Hungarian soldiers – together with Polish military and police personnel – celebrated Christ’s resurrection with an Easter procession. The military chaplains of the contingents conducted the ritual in Hungarian, Polish and Latin.
