The soldiers of the Hungarian contingent conducted two "Fire Phobia" training courses for the Austrian soldiers, in which they could practice the prevention of attacks by Molotov-cocktail during the crowd and riot control (CRC) tasks. The joint training session of the subunits of the nations serving in Kosovo is of key importance, as the soldiers can learn from each other not only fighting methods, but they can also practice the effective collaboration in order to maintain the continuous level of proficiency.

During and at the end of the training sessions – in the in situ set up static display – the Austrian soldiers could try out the arms, vehicles in service with the Hungarian Defence Forces about which they received short information.

In addition, the BRAVO Company of the Hungarian contingent conducted a joint training with the EU delegated Polish company responsible for the EULEX police tasks in Camp Vrelo near Pristina. During the training the soldiers of both nations could practice the collaboration in case of CRC tasks in such a way that by establishing a joint company, they divided their strength, and by taking turns with each other or strengthening each other, they supported the prompt settlement of the situation developed in the given area.

The joint training was inspected by the Command Sergeant Major of the NATO Joint Force Command HQ Naples and the KFOR Headquarters, who spoke with appreciation about the KTRBN’s performance. The training courses were praised by the Austrian and Polish parties.
