Presence Patrolling Goes On

Over the recent days the sixth rotation of the HDF KFOR Contingent has continued to mount presence patrols in the northern region of Kosovo. The Serbian elections passed off without incidents in Kosovo, but due to the increasing tension between the Albans and the Serbs, the residents of Mitrovica and its environs were happy to receive the Hungarian and Portuguese peacekeepers again, as they have already gained positive experience about their activities.

Bemutatkoztak a békefenntartó nemzetek

A háború miatt gyermekeiket egyedül nevelő anyák megsegítése – ez volt a célja annak a rendezvénynek, amelyet június 23-án tartottak Pristinában, a KFOR-főparancsnokságon, a Film City táborban. A „KFOR MID-Summer Festival 2012” névre keresztelt rendezvényen bemutatkoztak a koszovói békefenntartó nemzetek, így a magyarok is.

Folytatódik a jelenlétfenntartó járőr

Az MH KFOR Kontingens hatodik váltása az elmúlt napokban folytatta jelenlétfenntartó járőrtevékenységét Koszovó északi régiójában. A szerbiai választások incidensek nélkül zajlottak le Koszovóban, de az albánok és szerbek közötti egyre növekvő feszültség miatt a Mitrovicában és annak környékén élő lakosok – a korábbi pozitív tapasztalatoknak köszönhetően – ismét örömmel fogadták a magyar és portugál békefenntartó katonák megjelenését.

Kézigránátot dobtak egy KFOR-őrposztra Észak-Koszovóban

Könnyebben megsebesült a koszovói NATO-haderő (KFOR) egy katonája június 19-én, kedden Koszovó északi, Szerbiával közös határán, miután ismeretlenek két kézigránátot dobtak egy KFOR-őrposztra. A támadást a brnjaki átkelőnél követték el. A KFOR közleménye szerint csak az egyik gránát robbant föl, a másikat hatástalanították.

A híradó szakállomány az MH KFOR Kontingens 6. váltásának idegrendszerét képezi. A katonák folyamatos, 12 órás váltásokban híradó készenléti szolgálatot látnak el: nyomon követik az útnak indításokat, meteorológiai adatokat mérnek, folyamatos összeköttetést biztosítanak a kontingens részére. Fő feladatuk a magyar táborban lévő valamennyi híradástechnikai eszköz működőképességének fenntartása, a tábori híradó és informatikai rendszer készenlétének biztosítása.

The infantry company – the Hungarian module of the joint Hungarian–Portuguese KFOR Tactical Reserve Maneuver Battalion (KTM)) is one of the key elements of the HDF KFOR Contingent (KFOR-6 HUN CON) serving in Kosovo. Being under the direct command and control of the commander of KFOR (COMKFOR), the area of responsibility of this international subunit covers the whole territory of Kosovo.
