Providing Assistance After the Mine Disaster

On December 24 a serious mine disaster occurred in the Chiranak village coal mine of Nahrin District, Afghanistan. Altogether 13 miners lost their lives in the disaster. The Afghan governmental organs officially requested the commander of the HDF Provincial Reconstruction Team (HUN PRT) to let the Hungarian troops join the humanitarian relief efforts in the wake of the mine disaster.

Segítségnyújtás a bányaszerencsétlenség után

Súlyos bányarobbanás történt december 24-én Afganisztánban, Nahrin járás chenaraki szénbányájában. Az értesülések szerint a szerencsétlenségben tizenhárom bányász vesztette életét. A katasztrófa után az MH Tartományi Újjáépítési Csoportot humanitárius segítségnyújtási feladatra kérték fel.

Football Afternoon in the Camp

A special kind of football-match has been staged recently in Afghanistan, between the “selected” team drawn from the personnel of the HDF Provincial Reconstruction Team (HUN PRT) and one of the futsal (an indoor version of the association football) teams of the town of Pol-e Khumri. Everybody had a good time during the friendly football game.

Focidélután a táborban

Különleges labdarúgó-mérkőzést rendeztek a napokban Afganisztánban: az MH Tartományi Újjáépítési Csoportból szerveződött „válogatott” Pol-e Khumri város egyik futsal (a nagypályás foci teremben játszott változata) -csapata ellen lépett pályára. A barátságos mérkőzésen mindenki jól érezte magát.

PRT–OMLT Joint Patrol

Operation GORK-II in Andarab

In early November, the designated personnel of the 11th rotation of the HDF Provincial Reconstruction Team (HUN PRT-11) moved around Banu and Deh-e-Salában districts in Andarab, Afghanistan. The primary objective of the operation was to enable the Mission Teams to collect the demands for new projects, check the completion of earlier ones and hand over the pre-packaged food for those in need.

Donation to the Orphanage

Az MH Tartományi és Újjáépítési Csoport 11. váltásának kijelölt állománya kétnapos feladaton járta be az andarabi Banu és Deh-e-Salában járásokat november elején. A művelet legfőbb célja volt, hogy az összekötő csoportok összegyűjtsék az új projektek iránti igényeket, ellenőrizzék a korábbi projektek befejezését, és átadják a rászorulóknak a korábban összekészített élelmiszercsomagokat.

Activities of the PSYOPS Team in Afghanistan

In peacetime, crisis situations and wartime, Psychological Operations (PSYOPS) teams are tasked with influencing the perception, attitudes and behavior of the target group(s) affecting the achievement of political and military objectives. The PSYOPS team of the HUN PRT-11 contingent has these mission objectives too.
