Fire Phobia Training in Kosovo

One of the primary duties of the Hungarian “Charlie” Company in the KFOR Tactical Reserve Maneuver Battalion (KTM) is to provide fire phobia training for KFOR forces serving in Kosovo. This time, the Turkish troops had to overcome their fear of fire.

Knee-deep Snow in Kosovo

The 12th rotation of the HDF KFOR Contingent serving in Kosovo was covered with a snow blanket of tens of centimeters in early March. The lot of snow was accompanied by high winds, so it was often falling “horizontally” while the temperature dropped drastically.

The company is made up of Hungarian troops stationed in Camp Slim Lines, Kosovo. During the crowd riot control (CRC) task, the Portuguese “Bravo” Company of the battalion was playing the role of a “rock-hard” opposing force (OPFOR). Delta Company Reaches Full Operational Capability

The in-theatre integration Full Operational Capability (FOC) training for the Delta Company of the HDF KFOR Contingent – which is deployed in Novo Selo, Kosovo – finished in mid-February. The company has successfully completed the training sessions and reached FOC.

Twelfth Rotation Starts Service in Kosovo

The handover-takeover process has been completed between two rotations of the Hungarian peacekeeping contingent serving in Kosovo. During a recently held transfer of authority (TOA) ceremony, Lt.-Col. Győző Preininger, the commander of the 11th rotation relinquished the command and responsibilities to Lt.-Col. János Gacsal, the commander of the 12th rotation.
