Having successfully passed the first test, the validation exercise, the troops of sixth rotation of the HDF KFOR contingent continued their training program with helicopter training after the tasks executed on the ground.

During the training the soldiers were introduced to the helicopters in service with KFOR, namely the Croatian Mi-171, the US Black Hawk and the Swiss Super Puma. First the helicopter crew chiefs informed the Hungarian peacekeepers about the safety regulations, then there was a “dry run" with the rotors off.

In what followed, the entire personnel of the Hungarian company assigned to the KFOR Tactical Maneuver (KTM) Battalion were “lifted up in the air".

“Airlift is very important from the viewpoint of maneuvering, because it offers the quickest way to move the company to its intended destination. Therefore, it is indispensable to make sure that every soldier flies" – 1st Lt. Gergő Hij, the commander of the infantry company told us after the training.
