Bochkor Was Spanked

Szöveg: Balázs Trautmann |  2008. szeptember 2. 7:40

It seems that Gábor Bochkor had an active and extremely hot morning in Pápa, where he has even undergone a commencement ceremony entailing a spanking. Of course, the prerequisite of this was the L-39ZA Albatros landing on the overheated concrete runway of the Pápa Base Airport, with Brigadier General István Petõ in the first cabin.

Members of the numerous reception committee included Defence Minister Imre Szekeres (who has also taken part in the cheerful commencement ceremony ‘with his own hands‘) and General András Havril, MoD Chief of Defence Staff. The popular radio personality, who has just completed his flying training in Hungary, even called in the radio programme hosted by him before landing, but similarly to the awarding of the certificate, the commissioning ceremony entailing a minor spanking will also be memorable for him. Surrounded by photographers and cameramen, Gábor Bochkor gripped the leading edge of the Albatros firmly, and stood the good wishes which came in the form of slapping.

The other protagonist of the day was a C-17 Globemaster III of the 452nd Transport Regiment, standing at a distance. Aircraft similar to the heavy transport airplane manufactured in 2005 and registered under No. 05-5140 will be working in Pápa, as the Pápa Regiment of the Strategic Airlift Capacity (SAC). The guests invited to the event could take a closer look at the aircraft – from the ramp to the cockpit -, which is to be the main type of the joint NATO corps in the future. In the hangar, seven tons of English language coursebooks were handed over to the town of Pápa – a donation of Germany to the educational establishments of the town. Children of foreign soldiers working in the new regiment, and of course, the Hungarian pupils of Pápa will learn from these books.
