The staff meeting started with a welcome speech delivered by Lt.-Col. Imre Kovács. In this, the contingent commander pointed out that on October 23 – besides paying tribute to the heroes of the revolution – Hungarians also mark the anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Hungary. In his ceremonial speech, WO Attila Makula talked about the events of 1956.
During the ceremony, in recognition of their outstanding performance, the contingent commander presented tokens of appreciation to Capt. Zsuzsanna Budán, Capt. Mónika Petrics, WO Attila Makula, WO Erika Gáspár, SFC Vince Gyukics, SFC Zoltán Kvák, CPL Zsolt Rádi and CPL Sándor Szlapák. The ceremony concluded with a gala dinner, where the participants cut a cake prepared by the Hungarian cooks for this occasion, which represented the flags of the four nations cooperating in Sector 4.
