Honor deserved

                       Brigadier General Reinhard Kuhn awards the medal to Colonel János Csombók

Brigadier General Reinhard Kuhn, the German Military Representative to SHAPE, awarded the medal, namely the German “Silver Cross of Honor" (Ehrenkreuz der Bundeswehr, Silber) to the Hungarian Deputy National Military Representative to SHAPE on behalf of the German minister of defense, Ursula von der Leyen, during a ceremony.

The Hungarian officer has deserved the award for all he had done to improve bilateral cooperation between Hungarian and German forces. He also contributed to increase the level of the combined effort on military issues.

His most notable achievement in the recent past concerns the ISAF mission in Afghanistan whilst strengthening the Hungarian–German military–strategic partnership on joint operations at ISAF Regional Command − North (RC-N).

Brigadier General Kuhn said that the “Silver Cross of Honor"  is a prestigious military decoration, which is rarely awarded to foreigners.
