The school building project was financed by the Portuguese contingent. The school has undergone renovation both inside and outside, received a new annex and a field with artificial turf on it has also been constructed. The entrance has been equipped with a wheelchair access ramp because a disabled student also attends the school.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, the head of the local education office thanked the Hungarian Liaison Monitoring Team (LMT) for its work, saying that they could not have implemented this project without the LMT’s assistance. The school of the village in the LTM’s area of responsibility had been in a very bad condition. Although usually there aren’t any financial funds available for various CIMIC projects because these tasks are no longer a priority for KFOR, the Portuguese contingent has still undertaken to organize and fund the renovation.
