Battlefield Lessons Learned Must Be Utilized

“Acting upon the initiative of our Special Forces soldiers returning from their tours of duty in Afghanistan, we have decided to introduce a new element into the training system of the Hungarian Defence Forces. The objective of the Warrior-program is to make sure that the military lessons learned in the battlefield – which came during many years at a price of losses and sacrifices – are not lost and can be fully utilized in the armed defence of Hungary”, Minister of Defence Csaba Hende said at Újdörögd on May 9.

Memorial March Against Terror

“What happened in Boston can be neither tolerated nor forgiven. No matter what uniform they wear, all soldiers are obliged to prepare for preventing such acts.” – Brig.-Gen. Dr. Gábor Böröndi, the commander of the HDF 5th “Bocskai István” Infantry Brigade stated in Újmajor on April 28. In protest against terror and in the spirit of remembrance, together with the troops of the Ohio National Guard, the brigade organized a memorial march in the military training area.
