CSM Tibor Bogdán, the Commander of the HDF NCO Academy NCO Leadership Training Group received a new position. From September this year the Hungarian non-commissioned officer will take over the responsibilities of NATO Allied Command Transformation Senior Enlisted Leader.

The NATO and international positions held by him until recently have been decisive in the selection of CSM Bogdán. He completed among others the Senior Enlisted Leadership Course at the US Army Sergeants Major Academy, the NATO NCO Orientation and Advanced Leadership Course, NATO Academy Instructor Training Course, NATO Command Senior Enlisted Leader (CSEL) Course, furthermore he served as a course director and instructor at NATO School in Oberammergau. The new position of the non-commissioned officer has a great prestige also at the international level, as the command senior enlisted leader constitutes part and parcel of the Command, thus he may make proposals to the Alliance in issues regarding NCO matters.

The Hungarian candidate was selected personally by Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT) General Denis Mercier, and through this gesture NATO Command recognised also the efforts of the Hungarian Defence Forces carried out in the interest of the development of interoperability and the changes affecting the NCO corps.

According to CSM Bogdán through his new appointment, the Alliance acknowledged also the strong support of the Hungarian Defence Forces (HDF) leadership provided for the NCO Corps. As he said, the domestic NCO Corps have all the necessary competencies, and in his position as the NATO ACT command senior enlisted leader (CSEL), he can demonstrate the professionalism, capabilities of the HDF non-commissioned officers, who may contribute to the development of the Alliance and the partner nations in the pursuit of common objectives.
