HUN PRT Inaugurates New School Building

On January 10 Col. Dr. Romulusz Ruszin, the commander of the 11th rotation of the HDF Provincial Reconstruction Team (HUN PRT-11) handed over a new school building in a scenic countryside of Baghlan Province, Afghanistan. The inauguration ceremony of the newly built, five-class school building with lightweight structure took place in the area of responsibility of Liaison Team 3 (LT-3) at Pansheri, Jelga District.

Vocational Training for People of Andarab Valley

On January 7 the CIMIC cell of the HDF Provincial Reconstruction Team (HUN PRT-11) delivered different kinds of timber to Andarab Valley, Afghanistan, together with the tools for working with them. All these things are needed for a course which is scheduled to start in February.

Szakmát szerezhetnek az Andarab-völgyiek

Különféle faanyagokat és a megmunkálásukhoz szükséges szerszámokat szállított ki az MH Tartományi Újjáépítési csoport (PRT) tizenegyedik váltásának CIMIC-részlege január 7–én az Andarab-völgybe. Mindezek egy februárban kezdődő tanfolyamhoz kellenek.

In addition to Hungarians, there are Croatian and Albanian troops on the staff of the HDF Provincial Reconstruction Team (HUN PRT) CIMIC section. Croatian Capt. Slavko Horvatic, Albanian Lt. Olgert Davidhi and Hungarian Lt. Ádám Boór recently mounted a joint patrol in Jelga District, Afghanistan.

Providing Assistance After the Mine Disaster

On December 24 a serious mine disaster occurred in the Chiranak village coal mine of Nahrin District, Afghanistan. Altogether 13 miners lost their lives in the disaster. The Afghan governmental organs officially requested the commander of the HDF Provincial Reconstruction Team (HUN PRT) to let the Hungarian troops join the humanitarian relief efforts in the wake of the mine disaster.

Az új-zélandi haderő Bamianban települt tartományi újjáépítési csoportjának vezetői kezdeményezték, hogy a magyar PRT kijelölt állományával közös biztonsági értekezleten vegyenek részt a Baghlan tartománnyal határos Kahmard járásban.

Medical Aid to the Public Hospital

The chief of staff of the 11th rotation of the HDF Provincial Reconstruction Team (HUN PRT-11) continued the aid program launched in the last months by donating supplementary medical material to the director of the municipal public hospital in Pol-e Khumri, Afghanistan on 20 December. The hospital led by Head Physician Dr. Khalil Mosudia is a health care institution which is open to every resident of Baghlan Province.

Segítségnyújtás a bányaszerencsétlenség után

Súlyos bányarobbanás történt december 24-én Afganisztánban, Nahrin járás chenaraki szénbányájában. Az értesülések szerint a szerencsétlenségben tizenhárom bányász vesztette életét. A katasztrófa után az MH Tartományi Újjáépítési Csoportot humanitárius segítségnyújtási feladatra kérték fel.
