Attack from the Air

The Gripen fighters of the Hungarian Air Force are also taking part in the Adriatic Strike 2016 multinational exercise in Slovenia. Until 10 June, the aircraft take off in two-ship formations from Kecskemét, Hungary and join the exercise to fly sorties during the event that is aimed at training the Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs) of the Hungarian Defence Forces.

Unarmed Guardians of Peace

The 31st International Military Observer Course (IMOC) has continued with practical training events. The culmination exercise for the students enrolled on the three-week course organized by the HDF Peace Support Training Centre (Szolnok) is being conducted in Szolnok and its environs on 8–9th June.

Training in Peacekeeping

On Monday, 23 May an International Military Observer Course (IMOC) started in the Hungarian Defence Forces Peace Support Training Center (HDF PSTC, Szolnok). Speaking at the course opening, Brig.-Gen. Gábor Horváth, Acting Land Forces Chief, HDF Joint Force Command (HDF JFC) wished the students of the courses every success with their work.

Preparing for Service in NATO

The HDF Peace Support Training Centre (HDF PSTC) in Szolnok recently organized a peace operations pre-deployment training program for soldiers to be posted to permanent duty stations in foreign missions. The training comprised theoretical and practical sessions and ended on Friday, 8 April.

Ready for the Mission

The 39th rotation of the Hungarian contingent of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP-39 HUNCON) has finished its pre-deployment training. The international closing exercise took place in the Táborfalva military training area and range, and the personal interviews were conducted in the HDF Peace Support Training Centre on 12 February.

Excellent Cooperation

They Have Returned from the Balkans

Remembering a War Hero Comrade

On Tuesday, June 17, several comrades, friends and family members paid tribute to the memory of Posthumous Lieutenant Richárd Nagy, the war hero of the Hungarian Defence Forces on the anniversary of his death, gathering by his memorial plaque in the Szolnok barracks and in the cemetery of his native village, Zagyvarékas.
